West Indies vs Pakistan Preview

Mohit Singh, July 28 2013,
The 2nd of the two T20 internationals between the West Indies and Pakistan gets underway tomorrow at the same venue i.e. St. Vincent. Whatever may be the result of the 1st T20, the 2nd one will still play the decider of the series, and both teams are expected to give their 100 percent for this encounter.

West Indies would be largely depending on the services of Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels at the top of the order, tomorrow. They need to provide a solid and aggressive start, to give free hand to the lower orders bashers, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and the in-form Darren Sammy.

Sunil Narine and Samuel Badree will have the key role of choking the opponents and grabbing wickets as well. Badree is likely to be employed in the powerplays, as he was quite successful bowling in the fielding restrictions in the world T20.

West Indies just need to click in the batting department, against a strong and diverse bowling attack, tomorrow. If they manage to bat well, they can put pressure on the shaky batting lineup of Pakistan, and turn the result in their favor.

Pakistan also need to prove a point that they can chase big target, without crumbling in pressure. They have achieved this feat quite a few times in the T20s, and they will be confident of doing that tomorrow as well.

Pakistan have a very balanced side with the inclusion of all-rounders, Sohail Tanvir and Hammad Azam. They just need to utilize their services well, and they can clinch this final game of the tour.

The pitch in St. Vincent is expected to be somewhat similar to the pitches at the other venues in the West Indies.
